Papua New Guinea Split-type waste compactor

Conventional waste-transfer equipment often releases foul odors and leaks leachate.

Product Description

Features:

Conventional waste-transfer equipment often releases foul odors and leaks leachate. The split-type waste compactor, however, consists of a separate waste container and a compression unit. One end of the container is hinged with a door that incorporates a guillotine gate and sealing gaskets. The compression unit comprises a main frame, compaction ram, container-locking device, gate-lifting mechanism, and a four-barrel tipping device.

The four-barrel tipping device is made up of a drive arm, lifting hooks, follower arms, and the main frame; the drive arm is actuated by a hydraulic cylinder. What distinguishes this system is an additional hinged lid at the compactor’s feed opening. The lid is pivoted at its mid-width to the upper ends of two support rods, whose lower ends are in turn hinged to the drive arms on each side. This forms a four-bar lid-lifting linkage that is synchronized with the four-barrel tipping device.

As a result, the entire system is exceptionally well-sealed, making it ideal for the compaction, handling, and transfer of waste in urban commercial districts, residential communities, and industrial zones.
